Responsibilities include day-to-day management, employee development, resourcing high-profile projects and product launches, managing stakeholder relationships, and overseeing the sites. Also wrote articles for publication to developers.sun.com on various technical topics.

Technical Publications & Intranet Manager

Managed and mentored a globalized staff of 16 that produced 100 - 150 documents per year to cover five product lines for wireless, smart card, and content delivery technologies. Responsibilities included day-to-day management, employee development, and the team intranet. I designed, built, and wrote much of the content for the team intranet. Led a project to reduce costs, improve efficiency, and set quality standards by streamlining the internal production processes.

Voice to the Developer & Developer Intelligence Team: Led a team to establish a process and guidelines to effectively gather, manage, and understand developers' content requirements in new product/technology areas. Also managed a small team and day-to-day operations for a popular internal competitive intelligence intranet. Intranet responsibilities spanned managing production, site tools development, and contractors. Analyzed reports and provided recommendations and guidelines for successful, competitive programs.

Java Developer Sites Redesign Project: Was a key member of redesign team that performed market analyses, defined developer segmentation, gathered product requirements, and performed usability studies and competitive analyses to combine the JDC and java.sun.com sites for JavaOne 2002.

Wireless Developer Site Launch Project: Designed, created, and launched the Wireless Developer site for the JavaOne conference in 2001. Additional tasks included preparing usability studies, conducting market analyses, and hiring an editorial manager to run the site.
